Workouts should be appropiate and realistic. You do not have to kill yourself to be fit.

* Be active everyday. Try to spend at least 30 minutes doing brisk exercise each day for five days a week.
* Link physical activity with social times by joining a class or meeting a friend.
* Plan to make good food choices all week and splurge a little on the weekends.
* Choose high fiber cereal, snack bars and yogurt.
* Don't surround yourself with tempting snacks at home or work.
* Make sure your plate is colorful at every meal.
* Pick healthy lunches for children.
* "Close" the kitchen after dinner.
* Plan for at least 7 hours of sleep or rest each night.
